HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!!

We had a blast celebrating Dezi's birthday and Trick-or Treating with the Thiim Family this year.
These girls are going to give us head aches when they are older!

The Kai's were the spice girls!! Their mom is amazing and put together all of their outfits! I want to be like Pua one day!

The Kobyashi....Snow white, black cat, zombie, and OBAMA. We kept asking him about our health care issues through out the night:)

Gotta love Kauwe and his Halloween spirit. Austin Power's would be proud!

Ok the pictures are backwards, if you look at the one below, Keoni is looking at this big coffin thing in someones yard, then someone pops out and sprays him with silly string!! It was classic, above is the end result.

I must say Hailey turned out looking too old and beautiful for me, but she loved it! Keoni wanted to be scary, mission accomplished.

All Keoni cared about is having that bloody knife, and a scary mask. Thank goodness for Savers and cheep stuff. He also didn't even want to go trick-or-treating because I wouldn't let him scary other kids walking around. So he headed back to the house to scare the kids that came for candy. All I have to say what goes around comes around. He did end up sleeping on my floor for like a week after the Haunted Lagoon! LOL!

First time putting on fake eyelashes, and it turned out pretty good. Don't know how she knew how to pose like a 20's Flapper, but every time a camera went off she had one.

LADY OF LAIE

How excited we all were to drive all the way to Laie for there HAUNTED LAGOON! Only to have to wait in a 2 1/2 hour long line!!! But we made the best of it and the kids had fun.

As the line got closer and the sounds were clearer, Keoni started to be very quite and kept giving me a worried look. He even asked at one point to go home. Sorry babe, I drove, I stood, I'm hot, we are going on this canoe ride!! Although he spent most of the time with his head down and in the Lady's arm that was next to him on the canoe, he had a blast and was back to talking trash as soon as he got off the ride!

She was worth the wait!!!

Cub Scouts Hike Koko Head!

I thought we were going to hike Diamond Head, but nooooo! we did Koko Head! It was a straight up, stair climbing trail on an old rail road track.

The boys were excited but also thought we were crazy because it looked so intimitating. And there were mostly adults doing this hike. But we did see a seven month pregnant lady doing it so that gave me motivation.

Half way there and the wining started, and pleas, "I'm going to die mom!"

We had to take many short rests along the way! But I have to admit I needed then too!:)

WE DID IT! And it was worth it! Beautiful 360 views! And the boys were so proud. We even found a old Army bunker (the boys loved that!) We all had a snack and water, and were laughing and having fun, when the boys realized OH NO! We have to get down! LOL Much easier but very steep. Keoni ran ahead with fellow cub scout. I could catch him because i was helping another boy who was scared. But I did get to watch him take a tumble right over the boy in front of him sending them both rolling a few feet down. I guess they weren't hurt because they got right up and continued on their way.

So after the hike and the Thunderbird show Keoni went straight to bed at 5pm and slept right through to the next morning! Now I know what to do from now on :)

Ok it's a little blurry, but they were going like a thousands miles a hour. We enjoyed our afternoon at Hickam AFB watching the Thunderbirds air show. It was very loud, very hot, but very cool!

Kai really wanted to do the rock climbing. She got all the way to the top, and the guy had to pull her down because she didn't weigh enough to slide down on her own. She had a blast!

Oni Boy was very excited to get baptised! And to everyone surprise was quite reverent and such a sweet spirit.

Don't know what's up with my camera the pictures are kind of blurry and made me
a whale. Gotta get that fixed.

Oni and Tay, two of a kind! Only two weeks apart, we were so happy to have them baptised together. With everyone who came to support them, the room was packed and we could feel the love.

Before they got dunked. Oni borrowed the churches jump suite and it was big, he said he looked like a big bunny! I had to laugh because he did.

Gotta love Hawaii, only here is a baptism like a graduation from college. Oni loved the attention, and his sister was proud.

So we had a joint B-day for Hailey, Keoni and cousin Cody at Kapiolani park and beach!

The girls did pretty well with the donut eating contest, the boys on the other hand seemed to get most of the sugar on their face and not much in their mouth! This was too funny.

I know you all remember this Chinese jump rope! Had to bring this back. I remember many hours and spent playing this as a kid. Kids didn't believe I used to get up to arm pits! Good times.

SUMMER TIME!

HAPPY 4TH everyone!!!! We were lucky enough to tag along with Keli and Gil at the Marriott Hotel for the fourth of July. We got to swim in the pool and go to dinner and then had a great view from the 24Th floor of the hotel. We could of stayed home and watched the fireworks from there but it was much nicer to be with some family.

For our family Vacation this year we went camping out at Bellows for a week. Now it wasn't your typical camping trip. We had hot water showers, bathrooms, tennis courts, volleyball, a shopette, and lets not forget papa's TV. All in all I think we did a week of luxury camping. Which I was grateful for because I'm not much for being dirty.

Hailey and her cousin Kezley. Yes my daughter got darker by the minute in the sun. I never put so much sun screen on all the kids. Every morning it seemed like the kids at camp knew I would be putting on the sun screen so I always had a line. The kids knew that if they didn't have it on they couldn't play in the sun.

YUMMY!!!!!

We did a lot of activities during our stay at camp and Kanai and I are very competitive. But he really put his game face on (and his socks) when we played kick ball. Sadly for me my team the SLEDGEHAMMERS got beat by the Hot, Hot, HOTTIES. But I still think we would of won if Kauwe didn't let his wife fun home by missing the ball.

We didn't get much sleep during camp because the adults would stay up late playing games like PIG, SCRABBLE, & GESTURES. And we had many early wake up calls by different babies in the camp. But over all we weren't over tired. Kanai on the other hand was able to get in a few Zzz, even with us putting a dirty diaper by his face.

And you can see we had tennis courts next to camp. We had a little Thiim tournament in tennis.

Bellows is a great place to boogie board, and skin board. Keoni was very good at skin boarding (riding a thin board on the sand into the waves). Me on the other hand had to try it and did a back flop on my sun burn. Thankfully there are no pictures of that.

BY GOLLY THERE IS A PURPOSE FOR THAT NOSE!

Kauwe's dad Papa KAI did a wonderful lesson the the Hawaiian nose flute. Which he made one for each of us and tried to teach us how to play them. I still can't get a sound out of mine, but Kanai was playing songs in no time at all. All through out camp we could here Kanai playing that dang flute with his nose!

Well we are following the rules by wearing a one piece bathing suit, but no one said we couldn't look good doing it! Keli with those things you could wear five shirts over that and still look beautiful!

WAIKOLOA

This is the View to left of our room, where we could just walk a few feet to the large pool.

We walk all around the grounds of this beautiful hotel.

This was tons of fun, as you walk to the pool there was this huge checkers board. So in the morning as we waited for the pool to open the kids played against there dad one at a time. And dad wouldn't let either on win! He was so competitive! Next time they can play mom and I will let them win.

Still on the grounds of Waikoloa, great picture with the ocean.

OK so we made up for not being able to swim with the dolphins. As well as having a few pools Waikoloa also has a lagoon like beach with sand and fish and turtles. Well we gave in and rented a small paddle boat and went along the lagoon and there were a bunch of turtles. Kai and dad jumped in(oni wouldn't think of it) and we were able to get the best picture.

Ok it wasn't a paddle boat but we had to use our(me and dad) feet like we were riding a bike
and that pushed us around the lagoon.

Hey everyone! We no we didnt fall off the face of the earth, just too a long vacation from blogging. And speaking of Vacation, these are our pictures from our weekend get-a-way to Hilton Waikoloa on the Big Island. We visited Grams first in Hilo then drove to Kona side for a one nighter for father's day!(Thanks to my boss getting us good deals) We only had one day and a half to relax and have fun, but let me tell you we did just that. Above is Kai and Oni thinking with the statues outside our room.

Kanai and I got a quick picture together as we tanned next to the pool while the kids went up and down the slide.

The most awesome thing of all was right outside our room on ground floor was a pool full of dolphins. I know you don't see them in the picture because I kept missing them when they came up but we just loved watching them and seeing all the rich kids get lessons and swim with the dolphins right from our room.

They had so much fun! Keoni asked me if he could live here! And all weekend they kept telling us that we were the best parents ever! I'll take it even I had to take them on a trip to get it.

Hailey did not want to participate in the costume but mother forced her. She ended up winning the scariest costume with a $5 McD gift card!

As I shed a tear, I am proud to announce that my baby, my first born is turning 8 years old. And with that she getting baptised on August 10, 2008. We took some picture at the beach to make invitations and to keep in our memory book. We wanted to share this with our family and friends.

Hailey has cut back a lot from the amount of ice cream she eats. But as you can see still enjoys a little every once and a while.
I asked Keoni what happened in the picture and he replys, "Mom I didn't want to take the picture." Well I'll take what I can. This picture by the way is from my birthday dinner. I know what took so long.

We really made use of the beach this summer. Yes if it is possible my kids turned 3 shades darker. But what can I say it's free, it's fun, and we love it.

Well we had a great season this year. Keoni really enjoys playing baseball. Yes he is still the still the silly, not doing what I'm supposed to be doing kind of kid. But was able to get really serious this year. I had many pictures to choose from but just picked out some of the goodies. If you can see in the picture where he is swinging at the ball, notice where his eyes are! We will have to work on that next season.

This morning Mom took Keoni and Leah with her to library. She gave the kids their clothes to change in. When I picked them up after my work meeting I asked about the shorts. ..whose was it? As I pulled his shirt up, not only did I not recognize the shorts but he had it on backwards and it looked small. Mom laughed as she looked at him. I took this picture to show to all that my son was wearing his shorts backwards and that it was a size 18 months shorts. I leaughed so hard I nearly pee'd my pants. Mom al;so had a good laugh when she found out the size. So now its your turn to laugh heartily.

One can see how they enjoyed themselves. Leah walked the whole way in and only gave into asking to be carried on the way back. Being with Aunty Melissa meant some antics for sure. Keoni was quite the adventurer and went ahead of the group. He told Nana about them breaking the rules and got her to get upset with the two adults. He was a bit wild on the hike which Melissa commented that Mom would have a fit if she saw what was going on. Kailani was always very concerned about Mom not slipping. Leah made sure her mom knew that she was not to pick the mushrooms.

Trip to Manoa Falls

Hike in Manoa Falls. The kids loved it and told Nana about going past a sign that said not too. They heard birds, saw a long worm, saw a pig's buns (according to Leah and Keoni), got very muddy shoes and loved the hike. The kids are off from school for a week. Yesterday it was the Water Park, today the Falls, tomorrow the movies.

It has finally happened, my baby lost her first tooth. A day before her 7th party she lost her first of two teeth. With in the next week the one next to it came out as well. I haven't taken a picture of it yet but will. But I can't promise when I will up date again.
Well I have to face it, I have a 7 and 6 year old. I can't believe it yet. This year we had a beach party with friends and family. The kids had a blast not only because they have the beach and friends to play with but mom got them a jumping castle as well. And it only took an extra shift at Mac. They better love me. The picture above is of Hailey and Jazmyne her cousin who I must remind you all that she is younger than my tini girl.
Keoni got a lot of good presents but the one that stood out the most to him was the Transformers. Oh and the king kong playstation game he got from aunty Pua. By the way thanks aunty. Keoni is in the 1st grade this year and has been doing much better in school. His teacher is really nice and informed me that he has been raising his habd to answers questions and getting his work in on time. And during free time asked if he could read to his teacher. Now this all might sound like not much and what other kids should be doing but for Keoni it is a big deal. He comes from taking 2 hours to write one word for a journal.
He's lazy but can do it. When he it told by dad that if he doesn't finish his work he will no longer be allowed to play his games then he can write a page in 5 mins. But we are glad that he is starting to come around with this school thing. CONDITIONER! Hailey discovered that with putting a little in her hair at night that the next day not only is there less frizz but less pulling of her hair when mom does her hair. I do love her hair. And it will break my heart the day she cuts it. As the story goes she was bald as a child and it took forever for her hair to grow in. So I have never cut her hair besides the occasional trim. Sometimes I feel bad when she tells me it bothers her when she has to pull hair out of her butt crack, because her hair is so long. But sorry still not cutting it.

Spam Musubi anyone? On the second to last day school Kailani and I had a picnic at her school and enjoyed lunch and taking pictures will all her friends. By the way I got to witness my daughter taking charge and telling people where to sand and how to stand. She deffinetly didn't have a problem being in control. I wonder sho she gets that from?
Now I was not home to wittness this, but a picture says a thousands words. My son allowed his Samoan cousin who lives next door draw Samoan tatoos all over his body. I guess he's not the take control type of guy.
Three peas in a pod! The girls (Hailey, Taylor, Jazmyn)enjoyed making faces at Auty Eva at Zippy's after a school performance at the Cabbab's school.
I did my part dad got his breakfast in bed. I must say I did a good job, that everyone else in the house coppied my idea for there husbands. Hailey and Keoni of course made up a fathers day sond with is basicly happy birthday but using happy fathers day to you. So creative:)

TEE BALL

Keoni has picked up the sport Tee Ball. He really enjoys the game and has grown so much from the beginning. We went from grumbling because they had to run warm up laps and picking his nose in the out field because he was so bored the ball never went out there to him being one of the faster runners and a more concentrated Keoni. Today he got to be catcher for one inning. But he really enjoy hitting. Hailey and I are cheer leaders supporting brother from the side lines. I am so grateful dad supports by being on the field and helping the boys so they remember to run when a ball is hit or to throw it to first base. It is a hard job being that it summer and to dang hot in the sun.

Our Hooky Day at the Water Park

Kanai's sister came to visit from the mainland and what better reason than to have the kids skip school at go to the water park. It worked out great because it wasn't over whelming with kids like it usually is. The kids and their cousins had a blast. Keoni finally got the guts to ride the wave rider and wouldn't you know he got the boogie boarder bug and we had a hard time pulling him away. Kailani was content with going down the green slide over and over again with her cousins. I am so thankful they are older and better swimmers and going to the water park is less exhausting for mom and dad. By the way the guy with Oni was a worker, he would start him off then let him go that way he would have longer ride. Keoni loved it when they would splash the boys waiting in line.
